Dean Smith is most associated with his implementation of the “Four Corners” offense, a strategy for stalling with a lead near the end of the game. Smith’s teams executed the Four Corners set so effectively that in 1985, the NCAA instituted a shot clock to speed up play and minimize ball-control offense.

Four Corners bar on Franklin Street provides a fantastic sports bar atmosphere to Chapel Hill residents and visitors, all while tipping its hat to the one of the greatest coaches in the history of collegiate athletics.

With recent renovation, all sixteen televisions are High-Definition and carry all the major sports packages (NFL Sunday Ticket, ESPN Game Plan, etc.). A completely redesigned and enhanced menu that emphasizes local flavor has been crafted by our staff and chef, and those looking for something to wash it all down will find twelve beers on tap and a full bar experience at their disposal. Be sure to check out some of the UNC memorabilia throughout the restaurant, as Four Corners is a Chapel Hill institution that prides itself in celebrating decades of excellence in UNC athletics.

A trip to Four Corners is a must for anyone visiting Chapel Hill or local residents out cheering on the Tar Heels. Be sure to stop by and see us on Franklin Street!
